Hello everyone!

I just received a phone call from Quentin; and have the results from the 2010 Colorado River Valley District FFA Creed Speaking Contest.

Stephany Joos is the District Creed Speaking Champion; Torrie Gerloff placed 3rd!

These girls had to compete against the Chapter Creed speaking winners from 6 other schools (14 speakers total) – only one student is allowed the opportunity to represent these schools (our district) at the State Creed Speaking Contest, which will be held in Alamosa this next year!

For the second year in a row, a member of the Meeker FFA Chapter will be given that opportunity! I am so very proud of our students! Memorizing, presenting (on a stage in front of a large crowd), and answering questions about the 5 paragraph FFA Creed is quite an accomplishment – especially when you realize that we ask our youngest students in the school (Freshmen) to do it! I wanted to let you all know about our student’s successes today! Both girls worked extremely hard and deserve a pat on the back.
